Can I use an existing DigitalOcean droplet?
Yes. Provide its IP address and SSH key during BYOS setup. OpenClawHosting validates the OS version, installs dependencies, and deploys OpenClaw alongside whatever else is already running. We recommend a dedicated droplet for isolation, but shared use works.
How do snapshot backups work with OpenClaw?
DigitalOcean snapshots capture the full disk image, including your OpenClaw database and configuration. You can trigger snapshots manually or automate them weekly through the DigitalOcean API. Restoring a snapshot spins up a new droplet with the exact same state.
Can I resize the droplet without downtime?
CPU and RAM upgrades on DigitalOcean require a brief reboot (typically under 60 seconds). Disk-only resizes are permanent. OpenClaw reconnects to messaging platforms automatically after the reboot completes.
Does DigitalOcean monitoring integrate with OpenClaw?
